Medal of honor Airborne 14-01-2008  Article: Platform: PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 Developer: EALA Publisher: Electronic Arts Genre: Shooter Other: Tested with patch 1.2 Medal of honor? Most people know the Medal of Honor series very well. It was one of the best World War 2 shooters on this planet. But technology and games evolve... The new version of Medal of Honor is called "Airborne".  Story You'll start with as solder called "Boyd Travers". He is a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. You'll start with explaination of the "Operation Husky, the Allied invasion of Sicily. At every mission you will be dropped from a plane and you have the freedom to land on the place you like. Missions Operation Husky: This is the first mission you'll need to accomplish. It is the invasion of Sicily. Anti-air defence need to be destroyed and there is much military activity (of course) to play with. Operation avalance: You'll be dropped in Salerno (the south of Rome). The enemies are everywhere and all ammo and fuel tanks need to be destroyed. Operation Neptune: As paratrooper, you need to help with the invasion of Normandy. A German radar near the beach and you need to get rid of it. Operation Market Garden: Of course is the battle in Nijmegen available and you'll get dropped right above it. Kill and destroy! Operation Varsity: This is the final battle that's placed in the Ruhrgebied of Germany. This was the single largest military airdrop in history. You need to destroy the factories. Der Flakturm /The Flak Tower: An extra mission where you need to destroy a big tower in Dortmund.  Gameplay, multiplayer, graphics and sounds The gameplay is one of the biggest differences in the game series. You have the freedom to take each weapon, path and objective you like. As far as we've played it, we didn't noticed any bugs. The only disadvantage is that you need to do all objectives alone. The other computer bots won't do much. One advantage is that you can earn medals and weapon upgrades. This triggers you to do even more your best to shoot the whole place down. The multiplayer content works really good. The airdrops are working fine and there isn't much lag or something that worked against me. The graphics are really good. It runs on the Unreal 3 engine what isn't such a big suprise. Of course are the sounds very good. The surround really works (with 5.1 Logitech speakers) and the quality is good. No cracks, plops or any of those strange problems.  But... what problems did we had? This game has one big problem. Crashes everywhere... My system has rebooted 7 times because the AGEIA Physics drivers are destroying my computer. That was one good reason to delete the game from my computer. It costed me three hours to get it working. Of course I've tried to solve it. I downloaded new AGEIA drivers and tested every inch of my hardware. And the game itself was detroyed the next day. Because of AGEIA Physics drivers that has a conflict with my computer. So, that has pissed me off and the game has a new problem... ME! Pro's and con's + Graphics. + Sounds. + Good gameplay (singleplayer and multiplayer). + Replay factor is good. + Missions are good. - System crashes by installation. - Maybe a bit to short singleplayer. - AI could be better. Our conclusion It's a good game but has one irritating bug. The game crashes by installations. But that's differend per computer. It depends on AGEIA. Even with fixes and help from the internet didn't help. But if it is working, it will provide some good fun. The graphics and the gameplay was the best point of the game. But we've decided to give this game a rating of 3/5 stars because of the crashes. Productrating:
